In these days and times, social media is the way to find new talent. Hidden beneath all of the how to videos, cute babies and pranks, you will find artists who definitely need to be in the spotlight. Every week, I search YouTube looking for artists who deserve a chance to live out their dreams. Well this new songstress I am about to introduce you to, I have been following her on Twitter for a few years. We are fans of the WWE and she follows one of my fan accounts. So I am kicking myself because I never knew she could sing.
As I scrolled through her timeline, I was like what is this song on iTunes? I scrolled past it at first because I am not into much of the current music. That’s what I thought it was. Let me tell you I was wrong. Something told me to press play. I listened to the song and was amazed at what I heard. The beat to the song had me vibing. It makes you want to dance. I recently got the chance to chat with Miss Roxiii Bleu, and this is what she had to say about her upcoming EP and song ‘Every Time I’.
CS: So tell us about ‘Every Time I’.
Roxiii: I had recently gone through a pretty gnarley breakup and I was super hung up over the guy. Like I would go out to forget about him, but instead I couldn’t get him out of my mind. So obviously when you hear that, you think of a super sad ballad song but I knew that I still wanted to make it upbeat. So me and the guy I recorded with decided to do our own little twist of a radio hit.
CS: I think a lot of people can relate to being in that situation. Being with someone for some time can allow us to not be able to get over them in a certain amount of time. Certain things will remind us of them and have us going down memory lane. In your case, you turned your emotions into a song. In my opinion a hit song.
CS: Tell me about your journey to music. What age did you get into music?
Roxiii: My journey to music has been an interesting one. I’ve known that I’ve wanted to pursue music since I was in 2nd grade. My dad had his own reggae band and he was the singer and my step dad had a jazz and funk band. My stepdad can play several instruments by ear so I taught myself how to play guitar and piano. I started writing songs my freshman year of High School on my guitar and posting to my YouTube in 2009. The song that you heard believe it or not was recorded in 2014, but I finally got it mastered and put out. I’ve been going at this for awhile I’ve heard some no’s and some people who have given me false promises, but I never gave up. I finally decided to not wait for anyone to help me and I went the independent route. It was the best choice I could have ever made. You guys are going to hear so much more from me. I’m in the studio working on new things as we speak💜
CS: I am excited to hear what you have coming next.
Roxiii: What’s next for me. So I plan to finish my ep and then from there start doing shows, all while continuing to grow my YouTube channel.
CS: So for those who want to hear ‘Every Time I’, where can they find it?
Roxiii: The song is on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Play Music, and on my YouTube Channel.
CS: Are you on social media?
Roxiii: Social media:
CS: You are definitely a rising star, this is truly amazing and inspiring for so many who want to get in the business but have been told no. I congratulate you on taking that step. 💜
Roxiii: Thank you so much!! That’s exactly what I want to do. I want to inspire people positively with my music and let them know that anything is possible.
You guys I agree with Roxiii Bleu. Anything is possible with hard work and dedication. She is a beautiful spirit and I thank her for taking the time to speak with me. Listen to ‘Every Time I’ and follow Roxiii on social media. Let her know what you think.
